Join the Guild - Corporate Membership
The Criteria
The Guild is open to sole traders, partnerships, limited companies and PLCs. They must be involved in the business of letting and management.
The principals of the company applying for membership must complete an application from which the Guild will then consider for the appropriate type of membership.
Details are required about the company's general business practices and any associated businesses including staff knowledge and experience of lettings and management. Professional and personal references will be taken up.
All members wanting to join the Guild must have or take out Public Liability and Professional Indemnity Insurance protection for their business once their application is accepted. A copy will be requested (The Guild may be able to help with quotes and possible discounts to its members).
Members must keep an accurate book keeping system of their accounts with a proper procedure to record clients monies. The Guild requires that all its members have separate bank accounts for client monies and deposit monies held. (The Guild does not audit any accounts).
Once the application form has been accepted and the applicant has agreed to accept the Code of Practice of the Guild, a full check is carried out of all references and referees named. Once successssful, membership can be offered as either full or associate to company.
Full Membership
Those companies trading for two years or more in Lettings and Management and can meet the applicaion criteria can apply for Full Membership to the Guild. This entitles them to full membership status plus voting rights on issues by the Guild committee at the AGM conference.
Members can also have use of all the Guild benefits including the use of the Guild logo on printed stationary and marketing material as well as business cards.
£280.00 plus vat plus a one off £50.00 plus vat administration fee
